I have photographed seagulls thousands of times here on the Oregon coast. They are one of my favorite wildlife subjects. On this occasion back in June of 2013, my wife Kim and I decided to visit the Heceta Head Lighthouse. It was just after a year long renovation project that workers had completed. I walked out to the fence on the edge of hill, overlooking the ocean water and noticed this one seagull just circling. I started tracking and following him with my camera until he swooped down in front of me. That’s when I shot. It’s one of my best images to date. Printed on Bamboo Fine Art paper. Available in 14” x 14” size.
